Teacher's and Author's Obituaries

The Obituary column is dedicated to teachers all over the world as a token of recognition to departed teachers and their contribution towards the society. The column will contain colleagues’ comments, anecdotes and condolences as well as the publications or writings authored by the departed teacher. In current times when mobility of teachers is rather high due to transfers or other reasons a substantial number of teachers get only one short opportunity to work with their colleagues. However, the bond in a working relationship is so strong that they want to keep in touch long after they have moved on.

The obituaries and remembrances section is an effort to bring together people from the same community and give them a platform to acknowledge the service of departed colleagues and pay their condolences to the aggrieved families.

The entries from individuals  and family members will be entertained only if they are accompanied by the photocopy of the appointment letter by the institution/ photocopy of the photo identity proof, along with the date of demise  certified by the spouse or son/daughter/family member  with an undertaking for the information to be correct along with the photocopy of the identity proof of the certifying person. The Obituary and remembrances can also be forwarded  by the head of the last served education institution .

Through our website we will maintain the record of the demise dates of  renowned teachers from the year 2010. This will not only be a documentation of history but also a mark of respect to the teachers community.
