National workshop on women s higher education institutions:

Sacrede Hearts College,ChalakudythrissurDt..kerala is organizing,

A National Workshop on Women Higher Education on March 8^th and 9^th 2012.

The Workshop is envisaged to bring together researches in education /gender  studies ,academicians–especially  from women ‘s colleges and policy makers to involve in a meaningful dialogue to identify the challenges and opportunities faced by womens colleges .

Sub Theme of the Seminar are:

• Implications of Single Sex Education
• Women “colleges and women empowerments
• Women as faculty and mentors-why are they often sidetracked
• Creation of feminine identity and women ‘s colleges feminine identity in decision making
• The role of women “s Institution in providing access to higher education
•  Facilitating empowerment through professional and alumnae networks.
• Women’s reservation in legislative bodies-role of women ‘ college in political empowerment

Papers/presentations /case studies on topics listed ,but not limited to them may be submitted by intersected scholars.

Presentations could be also in the form of case  studies in Women “colleges and their role,perspectives of students and alumance .A special session on Christian identify in women’s higher education will also be held ,For Further details contact
