Lala Hans Raj Memorial College of Education, Moga in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi Study Circle, Punjab organized one –day Seminar on Role of “YOUTH TO ERADICATE CORRUPTION”
The Chief Guest of the Seminar was Dr.Khushwinder Kumar (Prinicipal ,BCM College of Education Ludhiana) and the guest speakers for the Seminar were Dr.Satnam Singh Jassal ,Dr.Ashwani Bhalla,Dr.Surinder Mand ,Dr.Anoop Vats, Prof Vinay Sophat, Prof .Monika Verma ,Dr.Harpreet Vohra and Dr.M.L.jaidka. Sh Rajan Aggarwal(Chairman of the College).
Dr.Khushwinder kumar in his Inaugural Address, opined that main levels of corruption are micro and macro and also suggested that how we can root out the Levels of corruption . Prof Monika Verma explained about the Seminar and delivered the welcome address .Dr.Ashwani Bhalla ,Associate Prof. of S.C.D. Govt .College Ludhiana delivered the introductory address and focused on moral values which should be developed among students .He also made his view that strict laws should be made to deal with the corrupt practices providing for the termination of service suspension and stringent penalty for dereliction of duty.
Dr.Ravinder Kumar (State Coordinator) opined that we need a vigilant society you root out the corruption from our society, one of the biggest hurdles in our future development. Dr.Surinder Mand opined that youth should play a leading rule to root out the corruption.
Dr.Jaidka (Distt Coordinator) highlighted the role of intellectual .community to create the awareness among the society and younger generation to root out the corruption. We need vigilant society for the future development and improvements also. A documentary on corruption was also displayed
Dr.Jassal stressed upon the need of the change of our present working system .He said that “now there is need to make fresh attempts to deals with the situation effectively”. Involvement of social worker in this drive is however, all the more necessary
Dr.Viney Sophat, D.A.N.College Nawan Shahar quated the statement of Swami Vivekanand “takes up one idea, make that one idea your life, think of it, dream of it and love on the idea”. So fight against corruption is an idea for which time has come.
Dr.Harpreet Vohra stressed that proper training should be given to the students in early stages so that they should be able to distinguish what is wrong and what is right.
Dr.Ravinder Kumar presented “The Vote of Thanks” to all the participants.
